Why do my voicemails show up late.

Like many people, I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize. I figure if they really know me they'll leave a voicemail and I'll call them back. The problem is that lately I've found my voicemail notifications are coming really late. Like I won't get a notification I have a voicemail for 1-2 hours after the phone call.The only symptom I can come up with is when I call my cell phone from my land line, it pushes through all the hanging voicemails. They are there, hung on the system somehow. Not sure why a call from a Charter land line will push them through, but other calls will not.I had this issue on my 11 Pro 256 Midnight Green.
