On most turboprops you simply use idle for taxiing and occasional wheel brakes (or reverse) to reduce speed if it becomes too high. Beta range below flight idle close to zero pitch is usually much noisier than idle.

I already scripted this in FSUIPC. If throttle 1 is on flight idle the slider can be used. It will traverse through the beta range from flight idle to full reverse.
