Hi from Pittsburgh, PA. I bought an Inland M1 for just over $400 last week. It shoots fine but the fun is in learning more about the rifle. The serial number on the receiver says 210287 and it seems to be from 1942 but the stock is from Bianchi circa 1960 (with thanks to Johnny Rotten for the lead).

The group is intended to promote the Civilian Marksmanship...M1 Rebuild cartouche. I read that the rebuild "P" is seldom counterfeited because it lowers the value of the rifle. I also read that all Armory and contractor rebuilds outside of the U.S. were not allowed to use rebuild marks. So, theoretically, any number of M1's could be rebuilt with no historical markings.
