If you do it that way, you will not have to try to remember when you last serviced and time for new service is due. I just completed my 50 hours service on the Kubota L39.

I barely used the tractor this year and can most likely get through the winter with using it just 50 hours for snow removal. Last time I changed the hydro fluid was 3 years ago. There is no, 4 years or 400 hour interval recommendation. The oil I use in my car claims it can go 10,000 miles. When I bought the car, and in the manual, 3,000 miles is the change interval. I sort of split the difference. I go about 5,000 miles or so. If I can divide the number of miles by 5, time to change. I just can't force myself to go 10,000 miles. If nothing else, that is a long time for me.
