I can't figure out how to finish the When and Where quest. My friend and I have completed most of the quests in Astroneer, including activation the unidentified satellite. As we went to planets to activate their cores we also got the vintage probes. The Wanderer achievement popped up after I completed the last probe and I looked up how to do it.

Hey, just wanted to say you only need to power ONE surface node in order to access the core. There's only six so that. A: No matter where you start on the planet you have access to one and. B: You can use them in multiple spots on the planet if you so choose to activate those nodes. Cheers!
