From what I have gathered, both setups would be at, or around the same cost as one another all said & done.
The Staccato is a 2011 (frame + grip module) while the Wilson is a 1911 (frame/grip frame + grip panels), but both double-stack 9mm handguns. The grip on the Staccato is noticeably larger, fatter than the EDC. If price isn’t a big factor and out of the box performance is, then the Staccato is the way to go. If you’re willing to tinker if needed and price is a factor then the Prodigy is less expensive but appears more likely to have issues (though most seem easily solved). Of course now I want the P, cause buy all the guns. Even if I add an EGW ignition kit to the 5", I'd still be $850 cheaper than the P. For some that is pocket change, for others, not so much.
