Zulder, I'm quite sure the NP205 transfer case has had automatic transmission fluid, 30 weight motor oil, and yes even gear lube as factory approved lubricants over the years. Locate the filler plug on the side of the transfer case. Clean the filler plug and the area around it using a shop rag; this avoids contaminating the new transfer case fluid. In either case you might want to check those seals. It's not that having tranny fluid in it is going to hurt the transfer case so much as not having the tranny fluid in the tranny is going to hurt it. A 75 K10 should have an NP203 chain drive t-case so it can take 10w30 (recommended more for a 203 behind a SM465 4-speed) or Dextron II or III auto trans fluid. The rear diff may need gear oil with limited slip additive, either way I think it's 80W90, same for the front but it will more than likely be an open diff which will take straight 80W90.
