It has some sort of motion sensor. The "low oil" alarm is for when the oil resevoir is low. I would immediately mix the fuel to 50::1, in case the no oil alarm is accurate, until you fix the motor. Spec for idle speed is 600 to 700 rpms when the boat is in the water, and in foward gear. So when you set your idle speed, you set it with the boat in the water. The engine will idle higher out of the water, running on a garden hose, because there is no backpressure on the exhaust.
