Feb 17, 2022 · The tap in the front is at the VESS fuse. The tap is modified to allow the remote control receiver to make or break the VESS circuit. The tap at the back gets power from a 12 volt power outlet circuit to run the remote control receiver. The receiver itself is mounted beside the brake fluid reservoir at the upper left. Halfway down, second fuse from the right is the VESS 10 amp fuse (look on the back of the fuse box lid). Use the provided fuse puller and remove and save that fuse. TUCSON Hybrid vehicle must be equipped with smart key with push button start, wireless device charging, and Audio Video Navigation System 5.0 (or newer) or Display Audio 2.0.
