I have purchased 2 Coonan receivers. The first was excellent except for the ejector bloc placement. I had to relieve quite a bit of material in order to get the magazines to insert and lock properly. The second was excellent in most regards. A few minor cosmetic flaws, but nothing to get twisted up over.The pistol grip is hollow, like a metric FAL, but the inside is smooth. The FAL field cleaning kit fits inside the pistol grip, but there is no groove for the spring on the cleaning kit to lock into, but that can be (and will be) eaily fixed with a dremel.Cetme L. $1,100. This rear half came from that lot. SARCO took these matching number rears and added an Argentine barrel and various other front end parts to assemble complete 'kits'. The matching number 'kit' was found and reunited with the Argie 01469 front end so the rifle is back like it was in '89/'90 save for the milsurp combo device.

I couldn't use the DSA Para rear sight with a Type C as I recall. These are uglier but stronger than the others with regard to recoil-related splitting. If you're talking about the two-position sight, I'm not sure why they wouldn't work.
