Band size and cup size are related but don't go in the same direction. If you go down a band size because you've lost inches, but you haven't lost volume, you'd go up a cup size to compensate e.g. you'd go from 36C to 34D. You can't spot reduce, so you can't do that much to control whether or how you lose weight from your breasts.
