I haven't seen the temperature gage go any higher than the middle. Its really noticeable. I have a 2014 JKUR. My heater is also acting up. It blows hot and then cools off to the point of cool ... I read the forum and replaced everything that I could find that would be causing the issue. Fan, radiator (went moshimoto), radiator tubes, thermostat (replaced with ripp), water pump, coolant, air filter, sc oil, engine oil.Mud with cake up the cooling fins and cause you to run hot.... another issue may be your thermal clutch on your fan may be bad and not engaging. When I started actually paying close attention to it the needle was staying at the third little hash mark on the gauge (so technical right). 1) remove the intake tubing to get it out of the way. 2) unclip the throttle cable and spring from the throttle body. 3) remove the throttle cable bracket (3 10mm bolts) 4) remove the 4 10mm bolts holding the fuel rail to the intake manifold. 5) unclip the injector wiring harnesses from each injector.
