MEC Old style Grabber, parts interchangeability question. I have a good deal for an old-style MEC Grabber (don't know if its the 761 or 762). My only concern is that availability of replacement parts, especially the sizing collets. It looks like MEC doesn't stock old-style collets for 12Ga.

JMHO but I would not lump the adjustable charge bar and the Spindex kit together as "upgrades." The Spindex is designed and produced by Mec. I can't conceive of anyone that had the newer design wishing to go back to the old. The versamec had all steel dies and included the pro check. The 600 started with steel dies and no pro check. The later ones had plastic dies. The 700's work great. I still have two 50 years old that I use for hunting loads and load development. Age just makes one old. Only the wise benefit from experience.

It's an add-on for the 600 jr. If your reloader is recent (last 15 years or so) the primer feeder will bolt right on. That's not much of a change, but it will relieve a lot of stress on the collet. As far as the sizing ring on the 600 jr., just take what it gives and if they fit OK, then no problem.
