So I test them out and my FPS in Wayfinder drops form 30 to 10-20fps with a higher TDP. There was also no difference in 25-30w. Basically they say you need a consistent 60 FPS or it screws up frame-pacing. And the actual frame-generation itself takes up resources. So if you are able to get a consistent 60 FPS without dips in the game you are playing while generating the extra frames, you probably already can hit like 80-100 FPS naturally. The size the game takes up in VRAM is almost always related to the resolution and texture quality. Decreasing either will save you VRAM and these handhelds, even the GO, cannot really run Triple A games on high texture quality with high resolutions. Beats Saber ran at 30-50fps in 1600p 30W TDP and OS Balanced. Changed to 800p at 30W and got Beats Saber up to 70 fps which is passable.
