Stator should have 3 yellow wires coming out of it. I dont have a manual for your machine but im sure its like all the rest. If you have a multi meter you could check the voltage across any 2 yellow wires.

So I have a 2003 Sportsman 600 twin that has a bad speedometer, I do have a speedometer from an early 2004 Sportsman 700 twin without the gas indicator. Will that work on the 2003 600 twin and if so will any features be lost in the mix ( i.e. tach, ohms, voltage, oil , hot etc..)?
