With over 100 campsites, 33 of which are beachfront, Doheny State Beach is the perfect campsite to spend your vacation by the crashing waves. Beachfront campsites are $60 per night, and all other sites are $40 per night. Doheny State Beach is a ‘dry campground’, so there is no electrical, water, or sewage hook-ups.

On June 24, 2006, Doheny State Beach recognized its 75th Anniversary with a celebration of its humble start as 41 barren acres donated to the State by the Doheny family, to today’s 62 acres, 122 camping spaces, a beautiful grassy park with wonderful group picnic/party areas, a famous surf break and almost two miles of sandy beach.
A portion of the park is known as the Crystal Cove Historic District and preserves around 46 coastal cottages dating to the 1930s and 1940s, many of which are now vacation rentals. Camping options include a single developed campground, plus three primitive backcountry campgrounds accessible only on foot.
