After appreciating the sheerness of the hill, you then continue through more forest and start the descent to the bottom of the Painswick valley. We visited the Cooper's Hill on the day of the Cheese Rolling Competition and obtained a lot of useful info from our lovely Premium Inn hotel receptionist. Roads will be blocked, so park your car at the Toby Carvery about 1 mile away. Plenty of parking space when we arrived around 9.30am, cost 5 pounds.
