The trigger on the tikka is one of the nicest factory triggers out there too. The Tikka T3 will be lighter than the Ruger. The Ruger is made in the USA (if that is important to you) and the Tikka is made in Finland. Personally, I like both rifles - both will serve you well. I have a Tikka T3 stainless in .243, and love the accuracy of the rifle.

For me, and some others, the cheek weld on Tikkas is way too low and requires a riser or comb of some sort. If you want to take one shot, wait for the barrel to cool (5 min) then repeat. Mine is a great one shot cold bore on target rifle, just don't try to shoot groups of more than one shot.
