My 2019 ICE had option to turn normal CC on or off, same with adaptive I believe and Pilot, so you could pick/choose what of the 3 options you had cycling the left hand button. I don't think you can turn off adaptive cruise control and just use "dumb" cruise control but you can go into the settings and change the following distance to something much shorter than default. This means the car will not break as often.
