I struggle to get more then 15-15.5 mpg in this truck and its driving me nuts. Dash MPG's aren't even remotely close except for the 400+ mile range which is about 1 mpg high. The exact MPG any engine gets depends on the vehicle it’s used in, but the 6.6-liter Duramax diesel engine gets an EPA-estimated 15 MPGs in city driving and 20 MPGs on highway driv...LML to L5P isn't as big of an improvement in the technology of the motor, so it would have been a little more difficult to justify, in my opinion.
