I completely disagree. Very quickly into the movie I stopped caring about the vampire aspect of it. Instead, I watched this movie as a movie about Abraham Lincoln. I watched the movie from the perspective that the vampires were metaphorical exaggerations of the concept of 'demons', like personal demons, or evil people, etc.
